You may come to counselling seeking better relationships. You may want to understand what has brought you to your current position, or need tools and new ways of being in order to move on. Most people who come to counselling want to know how they can live a fuller life.

Counselling is time for you and can provide clarity, direction, and support. I like to understand people in the context of wider influences and life experience, such as family, friends, social media, and the workplace. These aspects are considered in tailoring a counselling experience to your needs.

I work as a counsellor and psychotherapist with a wide range of individuals and couples. The approach I use is based mainly on the Emotionally Focused model, as it provides understanding of reactions and creates powerful and lasting change.

Emotionally Focused Therapy draws on a variety of creative techniques and theoretical foundations. My main focus is developing a trusting working relationship with you, which involves understanding what you want and need, and establishing mutually agreed goals.
