Experience:
I have worked in private practice, non-government and government services since 1994. I have worked extensively with individuals, couples and ‘families’ both as a counsellor/ therapist, relationship educator, supervisor and a family dispute practitioner.
Special Interests:
People make sense of who they are by being in relationship. It is through our language regarding ourselves to another and their response to us we make sense of the ‘Who’. As I am naturally curious about people and interested in the ‘Who’ my special interest is exploring the emotional issues which occur during our pre-relationship, relationship, separation and post separation stages of life.
Through gaining awareness and insights into our emotional blocks we can start to be the people we want to be and have the life we want to have. My focus is providing counselling, psychotherapy, family dispute resolution, supervison and workcover counselling.
My approach draws on the modalities of Emotionally Focused Therapy, Systems Theory, Complexity Theory, Psychodynamic Theory, Art Therapy, Attachment Theory and other experiential therapies.
